OUR NAME

WHY 181?  The most fundamental moment of ideation is the "aha". In the western alphabet-number assignment system, the numbers correspond to the first, eighth and first letters of the alphabet. Put simply, 181 = AHA.

PLATFORM is a word with multiple meanings and represents the breadth of what we do. A platform can be a collection of related ideas, a physical or virtual surface from which to be seen or heard, or a place where people mix.

OUR STUDIO

Headquarters
Our studio is located in a reclaimed building an old marble processing complex called the Marbleworks in Middlebury Vermont. It is a neighborhood brimming with creative people. We spend a great amount of our time getting our hands dirty and working with clients outside of our studio.

In the Field
Our projects have taken us to may interesting parts of the country and the world. We have worked on projects in France, Canada, Washington, Oregon, Iowa, Michigan, Vermont, Connecticut, Utah, Idaho, New York, Italy, and the Netherlands Antilles.
